Revell 1/48 P-51D Mustang "Miss Marilyn II"

Post by UKguyInUSA »

Hello Guys and Girls,

Here are the final photos of my last build of a Revell 1/48 P-51D Mustang that I chose to do in the second option on the decal sheet; "Miss Marilyn II".

This is the second time that I have built this kit, this year, the first time was in the "Big Beautiful Doll" colors and markings.

It makes for a great fill in, quick build kit, is cheap to buy and goes together without the need for any filler; just smoothing down of the glue joints/seams.

This would make for a great starter kit for a beginner, except a lot of patience is required for the checkered nose decals on both versions. It would also be a good kit for someone that loves the P-51D Mustang and wants to cheaply put together different versions by using after market decals, colors and markings, making the choice "endless"!

I did post the video link for this last week, but have only just gotten around to uploading images to "Photo-bucket", to enable me to post them on here.

Thanks in advance for those of you that take time out to look and comment, and, please don't be afraid to leave constructive criticism that is always welcome to help me improve.

Cheers, :cheers2:

Martin.

Hey Martin! That looks awesome!! Good job on the detail, especially for it being the Revell Kit! I really enjoy the scheme because it embodies all the character the P-51 has, bare metal, nose art, and cammo!

Again great work!! :th:
