Scratchbuilt Hobbit Beer Wagon

Post by RichBuilds »

Hi all, first time posting, hope this doesn't break any forum rules :-)

Here's a WIP shot of my current scratchbuild project: A hobbit Beer Wagon.

All totally scratchbuilt using no pre-made parts. Just rod, sheet and tube.

Eventually, it'll take pride of place on my Hobbit Tavern diorama (another WIP, just base colours down atm):

I post regular WIP's, TIP's and ticks on twitter: https://twitter.com/search?src=typd&q=%23RichBuilds and have just bought a domain to record my projects: http://www.RichBuilds.com (nothing to see yet...)

Thanks all - it's been a really fun build so far. I've been branching out on other builds to refine ideas and techniques.

The hill behind the tavern needs to have vegetation and grass adding so I went off and tried out some vegetation ideas on a quick jungle diorama:

Lovely work. :th:

From the size of it, I'm guessing the barrel holds about a morning's worth of beer for a hobbit. You'll have to build another one for second breakfast.
