working with plastic mesh? help

Hi,
I have picked up some older models a italeri Demag D7 with flak38 sd.kfz10/5 kit.371. And tamiya sd.kfz222 kit.3551
And they both came with plastic mesh (instead of PE) kinda like vinyl mesh on a screen door but much finer. I have never worked with it before. So i am wondering what the best way to attach and work with it, thanks.
