1/72 F-16 ADF/AM "Special Colours"

Post by RED »

Well thought I would start off by putting everything else on hold and doing this one, looks very striking on the box art, only hope I can re-produce it :th:

Cheers Chief,

the plan is to have it "in flight" that will be mounted to a simple base, so I had to find a pilot (this came courtesy of Hasegawa US pilot / ground crew set)

the ejection seat has NO detail what so ever, and even though the pilot will "hide" what ever detail there may have been I did put in a little plasticard just to make it interesting - it is by no means accurate - I just wanted a bit of colour and texture to break up the pit

any way first pic is the spurs after the wash up

next few are of the mock up "liking the pose of the pilot too :thumb1: ) just off hand does anyone know the colours of Italian pilot suits and helmets?

build is pretty much done, just waiting for it to dry completely then sand the bits that needed filling, then paint

one question I do have though is how would you attached a shaft to show it in flight (this will have the drop tank attached as well)

well my impatience has gotten the better of me and as a result I now have to sand back and start again (knew there was a reason for not spraying on a wet day :bash: anyways will give it another crack on a "finer" day after getting some more paint

Wow, that came together quickly and I've never seen that color scheme before, so look forward to seeing your final review photos! :thumb1:
