general build questions related to glues

I have Tamiya extra thin cement and I'd like to know how long it takes to dry. How long after gluing can I sand the seams and handle the parts without getting glue on my fingers (or the rest of the model)? Ten minutes, two hours, overnight?

I'd also like to know which glue to use when gluing subassemblies together. I've been watching a lot of build videos on Youtube and I see the builder gluing parts onto an already painted model. Do they use plastic cement (after removing paint), superglue or a two part epoxy?

Hi I'm a newbie but when doing painted subassemblies I use superglue so I don't have to clear the paint off,
with the extra thin I think its just how much you have used to how long it takes to cure the things I've done
10min appears to be enough, the experts on here will probably give you more info (and better).

Depends how much glue you have put on but i usually wont touch it for at least 3 hours or so, overnight is better if filler is needed too.

To glue painted parts on i use CA glue
