1/72 Eduard F6F-5N Nightfighter

Post by JonMW »

Nice little kit that goes together really well with no real problems. Only hard part is some of the PE in the cockpit that is just too small, but I guess that's what you get with 1/72 scale. The right side of the plane looks a lot better then the left due to some problems with the Vallejo clear that lifted from the Ultimate wash, but it's not too noticeable. Only things added are some fishing line for the antenna wires, the rest is OOB.

That's turned out great. Love the faded paintwork and a Fleet Air Arm Hellcat night fighter is a rare beast.
Great detail too- could easily be mistaken for 1/48.

Real nice, I made this kit also in this SiG and fully agree with you , it is a very pleasant kit to make, with no Big issues indeed , also agree on the PE , some very small parts ...the carpet monster always watching for it

Your cockpit is very nice , very well detailed , it seem a larger scale , very nice to see the kit in the Fleet Air Arm colors and the 'used' look of the plane that you achieved is very nice !

Well Done , Like a lot your build ! :thumb1:
Cheers ,
António

Thanks for the comments! I picked the FAA decals as I didn't see too many build using them and I wanted some thing different then the normal ones.

Ha ha great work. I wish I could work in 1/72 but my eyes can't take it.

Love the weathering :th:
