Kinetic Lockheed Martin F-16I "Sufa" 1/48

Hey guys.

Doing this build while waiting for primers and paint to dry on other builds.
It's an 1/48 F-16I "Sufa" {Storm} from the Isralian Air Force.

Boxart:



Started with the ejector seats and cockpit tub.
The seats were a real nightmare and nothing fit as it should.
There will be plenty of filler on those parts.

The dryfit of the fuselage halves was a lot better.
Excellent fit.



Fitted the cft's and some other stuff on my F-16i "Sufa" not a bad fit at all.





Some work on the exhaust..



Cockpit ready for paint and detailing, and the spine fitted with antenna's and C/F dispensers.

That has an interesting camo scheme...lots of colors...will watch to see how it turns out for you

Got the sufa in it's first sand layer. Now it's on to sanding and touch ups. After that I'll have a go at the camo.

Did a very rough camo outline. Tomorrow I will airmask it and make it tight. The green looks really bright with flash, but in normal light it's almost spot on. (Did not have the color so I mixed 4 parts sand. 4 parts white and 2 parts olive green)

Omg, i typed a thing about the gear on facebook, i should have mounted it last.
I set down the model just a second ago.
A part of the front gear snaps and jumps away, and is no where to be found.

well.. the paint came off with the tape on some places..
All that is left is primer. Going to can this one for a while and give her an oven cleaner treatment in the future.

Unlucky about the paint peel but no doubt you'll get it sorted. Have to admit I personally hate the SUFA it's just not the F-16 I adored in Iron Eagle as a kid

I actually like the weird and buffed up look of the sufa..
But i also love a normal clean one seater.
