Quoting posts with pictures

Post by FishBowlMan »

Is there any way to put a limit on the number of photos that can be present in a quoted post?

For example, someone posts 30 pictures of their newly acquired kits. (Fantastic - no problem).

Someone then quotes the entire post and writes "nice haul"

We've now got to scroll through the same 30 pictures to get to the comment.

On the bench:

Tamiya 1/35 SAS Jeep, 1/35 BMW R75, 1/35 Pzkpfw III Ausf M/N
MiniArt 1/35 Bantam 40 BRC British Staff Car
Hasegawa 1/48 P-51D, originally for D-Day GB
Hobbyboss 1/35 Pzkpfw I ausf F

There is no room inside a box!

I know what you mean
I don't know of Lee and Paul have any influence on this though
I think the best way to solve it is :
Don't quote such a big post
The most recent example of this was with one of Paul's hauls
And indeed great that you show it , you are happy with what you have added to you stash so you want to show it
But then some other members quote that post and just add something like : nice haul
so i think that the best solution is not to quote such a big post but just reply with something like nice haul Paul

ohh Paul i hope you don't mind that i used you in this example

I know what you mean, it's extremely annoying! The easiest way is to delete the pictures in the quote before you post, it's very simple :th:
Where does all the bloody time go.....?

LOL, as lees says just delete the pics out your post.

While we are on about annoying things, can people with huge signatures (on the forum, not written) please reduce them, I'm sick of scrolling through the same thing, looking for posts and seeing a signature pic and half the stash listed taking up an entire screen page lol

You have a point Paul
But when do you think the signature is big
I know i have a pretty big list of builds on there
Or is it more towards the members that have photos/pictures in their signatures

I think when your scrolling down a page and someones signature covers almost the entire screen page, its time to think about reducing the sig size.

My sig is about right as too is yours mark and yours andy
