Airfix 1:72 Hawker Hurricane Starter Kit

Post by Dannyboy »

Hi all,

As Ive mentioned before i did a tiny bit of modelling as a kid this is my first build for about 30 years lol

I wanted to start this thread because like many i have watched the great videos on here :thumb2: I would like to share with you all from the very start

This didn't seem to go very well i have some filling to do i will be using Perfect plastic putty i'm waiting on some squadron green arriving in the post

I must say that all the glue paints brushes come with the kit. I have ordered new modelling items, Just waiting to be delivered
Airfix pic 1.jpg

Wow the glue i'm using really does melt the plastic

Any advice most welcome

Update sorry it's been a while

I have given the Hurricane a coat of paint, I painted the camouflage freehand
dscn0989.jpg
Underneath painted and another coat on top, I would of liked to get the canopy on but it was damaged so needed to find a replacement :(

Looking good mate, camo work is ace. Go to the Airfix website http://www.airfix.com/contact and select the spares enquiry from the drop down menu and Airfix will usually send a replacement in a couple of working days.
