[Coen]

I've finally unpacked both my camera gear and my Sci-Fi models... I realised that I had never taken and pictures of them... So in a complete moment of narcissism... Poof here it is.

I'm not sure that I'll have time. Dance card is a bit full at the moment. I have the falcon on order, but with the other project that I have on the go, I may miss the deadline.

[EpoxySniffer]

Great models from a great show ...

[Coen]

Thanks Dudes, though I'm no Sci-fi modeller by any means, I am a big fan.
BSG, Dr. Who, and Firefly are my favourites.
Nerd revealed...

Impressive models there Coen, I was wondering though what colours did you used for the main body of the Galactica, I have just bought the Moebius Pegasus model and the paint colour guide is a little vague, I think I saw a thread where you were building one and you have the Glactica all done so I thought I would pick your brains about it, if that's ok of course

[Rob]

Oh so cool!

And so say we all

[Coen]

Thanks Rob.... So say we all.

To be perfectly honest Azean, I can't remember exactly now. I built Galactica about two years ago. I know that the paints that I used were Model Master's Acrylic. They were what I call their Sci Fi line. Ghost grey, Light Ghost Grey, Dark Ghost Grey, Gull Grey, Dark grey.
The colours that I most likely used on this were probably Dark grey and Dark Ghost grey for the most part. Then I washed it with Winton Newton Oils Lamp Black and maybe a tiny bit of Burnt Umber. The engines I honestly can't remember, they were a mixture of some ancient Testors enamels that I had laying around.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be more specific.
The Pegasus is a completely different colour than Galactica. The Beast is more of a gungrey and steel colour series then the dull flat colours of the Galactica. My plan for Pegasus (which I haven't finished) was to use Alclad aluminum and steel colours then wash the hell out of it with oils and Ultimate dark Dirt.

[Azean]

Thanks Coen, it all helps, have been re-watching BSG to try and tell what colour scheme the Pegasus is lol

[Coen]

If you ever figure it out my friend... Let me know eh?
