Dragon Jagdpanther Ausf.G1 w/Zimmerit - Finished!!

Post by alextheblue »

I can't quite believe that I've got this one finished as I definitely suffer from "just a bit more" syndrome! But finish I have and it was an absolute pleasure to build - I can't recommend it highly enough. It was everything that you would expect from the more recent Dragon kits, crisp moulding, great detail, no flash and great fit quality - even the instructions were okay on this one - or am I just getting used to them!! It was my first time using DS tracks and I actually quite liked them. They stick together easily enough and seem to take paint well, although they do take some persuading to get any amount of sag etc.

Anywho, enough with the blather (there was more than enough of that in my build thread!!) and on with the photos - and apologies here, there's quite a few so please feel free to scroll quickly to the end! :banana:

Thanks Art, appreciate your kind words! :th:

For chipping, I generally use a small brush and plenty of patience! :crazy: For the chipping colour, I used Mr Hobby Aqueous burnt iron for this one.

That are so many effects that you completely nailed on this build I can't even count them all Alex.
All the little things came together to make this a fine fine piece.
Well done buddy. Excellent work.

Now if we can just get you to stop taking photos while standing on your head.

Thanks Mike, appreciate your very kind words.

And as for the pics!!! :oops: :oops: Darn technology, can never get to grips with it. I just use an iPhone for my pictures so that I can upload them straight to PhotoBucket (please feel free to substitute the B for an F!). I post the pics on the thread via my laptop and everything looks fine and then when I check on my tablet.......grrrrrrrrr!!! It should be fixed now though.

Thanks again! :cheers2:

Wow, another awesome panther :bow::

I'm not a big fan off camo (think panzergray looks better), but the colours on this one.... wow, I'm a fan :clap:
