Does anyone know what colour the interior of german half tracks would be? Mine will be german grey exterior, I'm assuming the interior would be the same, possibly white in the drivers compartment? Any help gratefully received! :th: :cheers2:

Thats gonna be a nice project....i was always under the impression that the interiors were the same color as the base coat....however on occasion i have seen a greenish color used....good luck with it
On the bench........uummmmm i dont have a bench......not yet anyway

Ike jokingly to Patton......"funny thing George every time I get a new star I get attacked"

Patton...."yes and every time you get attacked i bail you out"

Hi guys, update time.

Got as much as I could assembled, before needing to paint the interior.

Image

Then started with the drivers compartment. I went with white in the end, most of the ref pics I found had white interiors.

Image

After the white was done, I masked off, and did the fighting compartment in German grey.

Bit of chipping and washes, and she's ready to be buttoned up!

That's all for now, cheers guys! :cheers2: :cheers2:

Final update and reveal! I cracked on with this and got it finished. I was intending to put a 20mm flak on the back, but I want to clear the decks ready for the Vietnam GB.

Decals on and a blue/gray wash.

Damn, I hate road wheels!

Image

Started weathering with some streaking.

Image

Surprise surprise, forgot to take more pics!

Basically, I used pigments, oils, and enamel washes to get a dusty appearance.

Then I remembered the camera, and went mad! Lol!

It's not the best, but I ended up rushing it, I've still got a 1/48 F-22 to finish before the next GB!
Really nice kit, no real problems at all. Surprising how much detail these smaller scale AFVs are getting these days.

Anyway thanks for looking :cheers2: :cheers2:

Great work! I have a hard time with 1/35 and you did a great job on 1/48.
