1/72 Italian Flying Boat Cant Z 501

Post by rodrant »

When I was on hollidays and in the first weekend I decided to build this , the build isn't a reference , it was more an experience of the base (water diorama ) and the kit was a reedition of an old Italieri kit , still the subject is very nice , the kit does have problems and the instructions doesn't helped , some old like instruction , almost forget this from when I was a kid , paint was done with spray and no post shading , no pre-shading , doesn't pay too much attention with fillings and so , it was an old likewise build !

In the end the result is very nice , and the plane is in my opinion very nice to have in my collection .

The Base was from a Photo frame , painted the bottom with cockpit green , put some Lichen modelling vegetation ( the idea was to represent some algae in the sea ..) , then let stay the glass frame and Vallejo Transparent water texture and for the waves foam vallejo Foam Snow . Here are some pictures :

and yes the Fasces decals on the plane noose are upside down :bash:

...yes a build like the old days with no big worries ....

But the plane is very nice isn'y it ?

Definitely a cool plane. Italy built some beauties, thinking of the Folgore.

Nice build mate. Promise I won't mention the upside down Fasces. :shhh:

Honestly wouldn't have noticed until you said.

:cheers2:
