1/48 Hasegawa RF-4B Phantom US Marines

Post by wally »

Hello Folks

I decide to join to the Vietnam Group Build. My entry for this will be the photo reconnaissance version RF-4B in the US Marines markings. Here it's the box art:

For this kit I will be using this collection of goodies:

And the sprues shots:

I hope I start this build next week.
Stay tuned next week I start the build and post the progress.

You guys have given me an itch to do a phantom, second lunch hour spent watching videos of them.
Here is a build video of your kit, great music to listen to while building Vietnam era aircraft, hope it gives some ideas

Hello Folks

Finally during the weekend I have some time to start working on my Phantom. As usually I started form the cockpit. Paint entire cockpit using using XF-54 from Tamiya. The I glue all the PE parts using PVA glue.
The foto bay was painted black and the cameras using XF-24. I think the PE part looks very nice and give more detail to the cockpit.
Here are some photos from this stage of the build.

Right now I'm working on gluing two fuselage half's together. It a little bit tricky because I find out that the have some slight war-page or twist.
