Howdy from Texas!

Post by FlyingCoffin »

Hey guys, I'm Kyle, a long time lurker here finally gathered up the guts to share my models with the world at large. I've been a big fan of ISM's channel and affiliated members' videos on YouTube and it inspired me to start my own. As my user name might suggest, my hobby passion as of late is WW1 aircraft and I'm excited to finally turn an enthusiastic love for them into physical objects I can share with y'all!

A little about me: I've been making models for a considerable amount of my life. I started like most guys do by building pine wood derby cars and plastic car kits with my dad at around 7-10 years old. From there I dove head first into the seductive arms of Warhammer and Warmachine modeling. I've recently gotten the pieces for what will be my final army and after that my plan is to transition 100% to scale modeling. My fire for scale models was re-ignited by my brother-in-law and his son asking questions about how to work on their Revell jet kit, after my wife told them I "do models too". So in my research to offer them the best advice I could, I found myself investing hours and hours in YouTube videos, a lot of them Paul and Lee's here on ISM. So that's my story, and here I am... remodeling the guest room of my house to be my full-time WW1 model hangar and workshop!

I've started a YouTube Channel for Flying Coffin Modelworks (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv1BWU ... tYz8GTwXQQ) and I've got my first unboxing of a kit up and ready for the world to scrutinize. Hopefully this weekend I'll get the shop in order and be able to produce videos with some regularity.

Thanks for taking a sec and reading this, and for being a great community with a ton of passion and a wealth of knowledge you're willing to share. I look forward to hanging out with you guys soon!

~Kyle
