Zvezda 1/72 Petlyakov Pe-8

Post by troska »

Hi!

As i said end of my last build this was going to be my next try on modeling.
Image

I started of with the most important stuff

Image

Thinking about making some support for the fins on the bomb like so.. Probably from PE but i dont have enough same length parts.

As seen on this video on 2:00 min.

Image

Lets get some paint on those wheels. First time using akah paints and it not going to be last.
Paints really good with airbrush even when not thinned and the paint doesnt smell.

Masking and painting

I have to do something on that gap though.

A very interesting subject. This is the plane used for the Russian bomber miniature in the boardgame Axis and Allies, lol. The build is looking good so far. And a pretty well detailed kit too, it seems.

Update

I glued engine halfs together and sanded gaps. I think it will turnout good on painting.

Building up gunners positions. Weird fact that this plane had turrets behind inner engines.

Starting to build insides of the wing.

Dry fit

After dry fitting i decided to increase support on some of the parts.

Fine work building, painting, and markings.
