Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1A Corsair Build With Eduard Photo Etch Set.

This is my build that i have been working on for a little while but have only now put it up on the forum, it has been a very nice build and a great little kit, I used a Eduard photo etch set for the cockpit and engine and landing gear which was actually quite enjoyable doing, I also used a MONTEX mini mask set.
For paint i used lifecolor acrylic paints for this model which was a first for me, i used interior green, sea blue, intermediate blue and matt white, i found that the matt white was not every good to airbrush with and just constantly had problems with it so next time will just use tamiya flat white.
For the decals i decided to to use a Eagle Strike Productions best sellers corsair collection part III which i found to be better than the normal tamiya decals but did get a few tears with the stars and bars but was managed to save it.
I used ALCAD 2 Aqua Gloss over the decals then used Ultimate concrete wash as i really loved the effect that Paul got with his 1/32 Tamiya corsair. The wash was very nice and easy to work with and i think it gave great effect to all the panel lines and rivet details and very pleased with the results of it.
I still have a little more to do as the prop, wheels, bomb and wheel well doors still need priming and painted but hoping to have it all finished before the Telford model show and might bring it with me to put on the ISM table.
