Wow Frans! That's stunning! All the weathering and the little leaves, all of it is great! When I first saw the old bloke on the bench I thought he was flipping the bird! Then I saw the pipe and all it made sense lol.
I'm stoked for the next update!

Update 10

Hello guys!
I did manage to do some work at the figures and some props, so I thought to share it.
I already post it on Facebook, so time to put it over here.

First of all I added a newspaper to the bench.
I googled on images of a french ww2 newspaper, and when I found one, I copy and past it in word in different sizes.
Then printed it out on thin copy paper, and when I choose the right size I cut out 2 pieces.
Folded then up sever times, and put them on top of each other. with wood glue.
Then took some wood glue onto the bench, and folded the paper over the bench.
I'm very happy with the result :thumb2:

Image

Image

Then time to make the big tree for behind the park wall,
I'm using sea foam for this task.
Wanted to make a wire base, but went fora branch instead.

Image

Image

Drilling holes into he branch, and put in the sea foam with CA glue

Image

And 2 hours later...

Image

Here it is in the park.
The tree is going to be airbrushed.
First i did not want that, but the colors in the foam are simply to pink.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Time to make a start at the figures.
First up: primer

Image

And after forgetting to take some pics of the paint progress grandpa is already done.

Image

And here's figure no 2 painted.
This young fella is looking at the GMC that's standing in front of him.

Image

Image

He came with the bike....

Image

Both together.
I hate using flash while taking modelling pics, it always shows the flashlight in the pics.
Also gramps seems to be out of focus...

Image

And with the trees airbrushed in fall colors, this is what Iv'e got so far...

Image

And that's where this update ends for now.
I will paint the figures one at the time, this to prevent that the figures will look all the same.

Thanks for dropping by again :thumb2:
:cheers2:

Indeed it is.. A Messerschmitt night fighter. The BF 110-G 2 to be exact
I'm tempted to build that one, if I got the necessary PE for it.
Hmmm.... 3 options now... A spitfire, A albatross, or that Messerschmitt...

Update 11

I'm getting close to finish this diorama :th:
I finally managed to paint all the figures for this diorama, so that means I can make a start at the final detailing to the GMC and the base.

First, I will post all the figures that will be used in the dio.

Gramps:

Image

Young boy

Image

Gunner 1

Image

Gunner 2

Image

Image

Mr grumpy

Image

Commander

Image

Driver

Image

Image

All together

Image

So time to make the base a bit more pretty.
I'm using Styrofoam strips. I don't know how these are actually called, but these stripes are normally used for putting on the ceiling.

Image

The base was a bit to low, so I put a piece of architect cardboard under it.

Image

Image

Image

I cut the strips in a 45 degree angle like a photo frame

Image

Glued it together with wood glue and hold together with some tape.

Image

When it's all dry I filled the seams with some plastic putty, and here's the result

Image

I haven't decided what color to make the base ..
Black? wood? stone? Other?

We will decide that later....

This is the dio so far guys, nearly done.
I need to paint the tarp and hang a rope here and there, some bits and bobs to be weathered, and of course painting the the base.

Image

So the next update will be the last! :D

Thanks for stopping by! :cheers2:
