cheers for the welcome , thought id say a little about myself
well im Jim and live near bath in the UK, started making models as a kid (matchbox armour and tamiya etc) got the bug when i used to visit my family in liverpool, my cousin who was a bit older than me was always building dioramas and i used to admire his models every time i visited then wished i could do it (i couldnt )
i kept building till i was about 16 then beer/pot and tits took over, im 42 now married with kids and around 6 years ago my brother bought me a model for my birthday, and i was instantly brought back to my youth even my crummy modelling skills , disappointed with my finished model and with access to the internet confirming how crap it was i decided to try another and another now firmly bitten by the bug again i've built me a workshop and collected tools paints and kits, developed some patience and thoroughly enjoying my time in the man cave , im not a rivet counter by any means but i do try to keep things accurate'ish,:
I've loved looking through the ISM facebook page and its obvious there are some really really talented modellers and knowledgeable people and the whole community has been friendly regardless of skill which is what makes ISM the best place to pull up a chair, so thanks chaps looking forward to building learning and sharing with some great people and hope i can improve my skills along the way
