I loved that kit Nige!!! One of my little favourites.
Nice choice buddy.
The figure with the panzerfaust, you'll have to change that out if you're doing one of those Leningrad tigers on the box.
The panzerfaust wasn't in product yet in September 1942. They came out the next year.

Nice kit choice, lots of opportunity for some hard-core chipping if that's how to want to go.
I myself find earlier tigers much more interesting than the late tigers especially the Leningrad ones.

Good luck!!

It's a great start Nige :) I love this kit.
I have a question, I see the fruil tracks in the photo above, I'm not sure if you intend to use them on this build or not, but before you start to assemble them, they're not really the right ones for an initial tiger. :eeek: Those are for a mid - late tiger. They have the ice cleats installed.

I used Tamiya German grey

I decided to do the hair spray technique instead of the standard chipping. I coated with 2 Coates of the wife's hair spray.

I also done a oil dot filter.

Nige, apologies, I've been following your build from the first word/pic, but just realised that I've never left a comment. I'm absolutely loving all of this modelling goodness that you've got going on. The Tiger looks the biz and I really like the colour scheme you;ve gone for. And that dio!!! :eeek:

That's going to be immense - you could almost move into that darn thing once it's completed!! :cheers2:
