Tamiya 1/35 Sherman M4A3 75mm Gun , Ardennes Diorama

Post by rodrant »

Hi fellow modellers !

Well , not really a thread , I received this Tamiya Sherman this week , actually last Friday and I start to build it and I ewas thinking that deserved a diorama , as the version was from the Ardennes battle , I was to use a Reality in Scale Resin kits for the base and the building ...

So and I promised to show you the resin kit , here it is :

Image

The kit comes with a cafe (the house) , ans rac , all in Resin , very detailed and with no work to do ...

Image

The small parts , the Cafe sign , a flower pot (brings the flwers to put in it ...) a fountain , and some laser cut cardboard to do the windows and the sign suport , top quality this ... oh and a resin door also , some wire stuff to the door handles and to the sign also ...a mesh to the door , transparent film to the window ...

Image

I also will use this kit (Coblestone base) to do the diorama :

Image

This is what you get ready to prime and paint

The layout that i'm thinking doing :

Image

My Sherman all done , with a clear cote and ready for the weathering ...

Image

Almost I'm sorry to going to do what I have in mind with it ....

Image

Scenario painted (this was some hours after the last photo) , while it dried , I weather now the Sherman with some Snow 'camo' ...not the best that I saw , but it was a try...

Image

Intention to depict some on the terrain paint snow Camo that now almost gone and also some snow the tracks and on the top

Image

Image

A more detailed photo of all the stuff from the rein kit , that I will start doing now , still have the three figures that come with the tank , but It is getting along nicely ...

Image
Cheers ,
António

On the Bench
a lot of stuff right now :-)

That's going to be an excellent composition! I can't wait to see those details come together.

That looks really neat mate. The snow camo is cool, and does look hurriedly and hand applied which is what it would have been in the field. In the end camo is designed to break up the shape of something, not to make it invisible (certainly when it comes to vehicles anyway) and you have captured that well.
