Sef's 1/32 Revell He162 Volksjager

Post by sef »

I have a couple of these to build so thought I'd join this buddy build and build one of them.

Image

I will build this with the Aires detail pack and may opt for one of the aircraft depicted in the Topcolours book.

I hope to be able to purchase the Eduard photoetch sets, if they are still readily available.

Next post will be the unboxing of the kit and the Aires detail set.

Many thanks. I've started my research and I'm quite liking the idea of the kite that Winkel Brown tested. A volksjager with roundels would look rather different. The other option I am seriously considering is the factory semi painted scheme with the filler etc still showing. I'm looking forward to this now and having looked at the Aires detail pack, the interior is going to be a joy. I just hope I can do it justice...

Thanks Paul. This will probably be my first aircraft painted with an airbrush too. I've always used a hairy stick, but having said that, most of the aircraft I have built have been 1/72. Now I have many large scale kits to build, an airbrush seems like a must have. Thankfully there are great threads and advice on this forum, so I should be able to learn as I go...

Great choice! :thumb1: I'll be watching this one, mate. I've also got a Revell 1/32 Volksjäger to build for the GB. Good luck with it!
