Su-27 flanker 1/72

Post by Drunkmaster »

Hi colleagues.

For a long time on my mind was the idea of gluing something without a propeller. I hesitated between the F-14 and su-27. Both of these aircraft are in my opinion very nice and attract for the eye of an amazing silhouette. In choosing help me again zvezda company when launching the model of Flanker. I suspect that this is the first topic in a forum with this model :D

Model makes a great impression, much the exact elements. Decals look good - which in my opinion is rare in Zvezda models :o

Despite this, not all decals will be used. I do not foresee proposals painting from the instructions. Painting that'll do that Ukrainian version of this aircraft.

Image

In the box I found a very pleasant part of the assembly

Image

The whole I will make up additives with photoetched parts, decals will be made to order

Image

Image

The whole state on the stand, as usual, my execution. As in the model of Hind is printed airport plate.
In sequence:

-The old frame a photo.
-A piece of thick cover of a notebook
-Print airport plate on paper

The whole elements bonded with adhesive to the paper. After drying, the gap between the panels carved with a toothpick.

I'm certainly going to follow this, I've never seen a Zvesda kit being built and I need to look into something prop-less that istn in 1/144th scale XD. Good luck mate!

After following your Hind-thread, i'm very excited about this one! The 'Flanker' is one of my favorite aircrafts and I recently got my 1/72 Hasegawa 'Flanker' aswell. Looking forward to your version of the 'Flanker'!

EDIT: If the decals proves to be un-usable, you could always go for these:

Thanks guys :cheers2:

Ludvig I know the set of decals, but it is not in the numbers of aircraft that I want to do. This is not a problem, decals already have, my friend designed it in corel program and gives to the printing :D

Meanwhile, back to the model...

This model builds very quickly, mainly because the body is composed of a small number of parts. So far, everything fits well :)

In the breaks in sticking, I made a few minor additions to the stand. The ladder is supplied with the plane. With pieces of plastic I made tow bar:

Looks cracking mate! I don't think Sukhoi could make a visually unappealing fighter

Hi guys.
Another part of this telenovela

Decals and wash - very important thing - the dividing lines are very shallow. By this wash is put very badly. Best thing to do pin wash and leave it for at least a day.
When the mix is dry, you can gently wipe it.
