Hi

Post by Grumps »

Hi all

Similar to many others, I have come back to the hobby after many, MANY years. As a child I had the obligatory spitfires and BF109s hanging from my bedroom ceiling and 7 or so years ago I dabbled once again with an AH64 Apache which was a tad messy to say the least (little did I know of acrylics and airbrushing......and glue discipline!).

Having bimbled past several model shops and gasped at what can be acheived, I have on and off researched what was required to churn out such masterpieces and it wasn't until recently that I found Paul's tutorials on YouTube and thus, here I am!

Having spent 19 years in the RN as an aircraft engineer on Sea Kings, I am a self-confessed rotary-wing worshipper, although I do have a few fixed-wings unmade in the wardrobe which I fully intend diving into, hell, I may even have a crack at armour one day.

Unfortunately I am the kind of person that unless I can do it full-on, I don't want to do it at all, so a hobby room is on the cards....... I love my wife!!

Hopefully I will one day be able to contribute as much information as I currently require!!

Best regards

Gaz

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps. I'm gagging to get started but currently working on a house move to Bristol due to work (an 800 mile per week commute is a bit tedious to say the least) so everything is in limbo currently.
