1/125 Revell Type VIIB U-Boat U-99

This is the old 1/125 Revell Type VIIB kit. Built this one as a kid. Today the kit is full of flash and the small parts are fragile. lots of filler was needed as parts did not go together well. Originally picked this up a year ago to use as a "Test Platform" for weathering techniques for my bigger 1/72 submarine kits. Used new products (TO Me) such as MIG washes. streaking wash and rust wash here for the first time. I'm pleased with the results and learned much about the new products and techniques to use them. As a Submarine Veteran It was fun to "Play around" looking forward to building My 1/72 Type IXC.

This is my representation of what Otto Kretschmer's U-99 looked like on March 17, 1941, the night she sunk, by self-destruct charges.
