Hi, I took these with a Nikon Coolpix A and a shoe mounted flash bounced into the ceiling. The camera has a large sensor similar to what you would find in a DSLR providing better image quality than a point and shoot or cell all else being equal. The bounced flash gives the image plenty of light to better define the subject, and shoot at optimal camera settings. This is probably the biggest factor in overall image quality regardless of the camera - one must have good lighting. All images shoot in RAW and processed in Adobe Lightroom, where I adjusted and cropped to taste. Photography is one of my other passions. Be happy to go more into details or do a tutorial for anyone interested. Thanks!

Update on my Tiger build.

Started gluing some of the sub-assemblies together and dry fitting parts. So far very impressed with the fit and finish of this kit! Seams are well hidden, sprue gates are tiny making very easy and quick clean up.


I cemented the two-piece wheels and sprockets. The wheels are numbered on the back side, so easy to remove all, prep, paint, and not loose track of which piece is what. The right-angle ruler with circles is what I will use as a mask on the wheels. I will prime all in black, then use it as a stencil to mask the other ring and paint just the inside of the wheel.

















The only visible seam so far in the entire kit is on the two piece barrel. You can just about see the shiny glue line on top of the barrel.


Where there are other seams, they will not be seen once the model is complete as they are hidden from view by other parts.

After looking at the parts and the fits with this kit it looks to be a complete winner Tony. The accuracy looks fairly good too.

A little more work on the Tiger. A few of the smaller, easily breakable parts I left off until the end. I few others, I will paint separately and then add. The wheels I left on the sprue for the primer coat. Will take off for the base coat. The sprue gates are small enough that minimal work is needed in cleaning the attachment points later.






I did have to apply a little putty on top of the air filters to cover a slight visible join line.

Was able to get in a little more work last night.


Base coat of Vallejo's Model Air Dunkelgelb followed by freehand camo pattern with Model Air Burnt Umber.
The tracks, cables, and tool heads I brushed painted some Mr Metal Color Dark Iron as a base. Most of that will be covered by the next steps of rust/weathering on the tracks.
Putting together the tracks was a bit fiddly, mostly due to my inexperience with armor, but got it looking ok in the end.


Next up will be applying the decals, and the weathering.

Another quick update.



Thinking the Tiger needs some people. Not sure if will use all four figures, but at least two of them. Would be my first time working with resin.

Being home bound with the recent snow storm here in the northeast, worked on the display stand for the Tiger.

I do not have a local hobby shop to get a proper base, so I improved with some items I had around.


Take one CD jewel case - remember those? Plus some white glue and some home made "dirt". The dirt being made from colored drywall paste, dried and crumbled.


And you have yourself a dirt base. A little airbrushing, some grass, and a tree, and you have....a final Tiger coming soon to the Reveals board.
