Tamiya 1/35 super pershing with accurate armour conversion

Post by wesleye18 »

:welcome: This is my first build since getting back into this hobby and a lot of people are saying that i jumped in at the deep end lol but i play a lot of world of tanks and the super Pershing is one of my favorite tanks to use so i decided to make a model of it. at first i found it difficult to make it with the added Armour but after trying to scratch build the added Armour and failing, i found out that accurate Armour make a conversion set for the Tamiya super Pershing so i got that and made a start on it. i have been working on it for a while now and its almost finished with everything primed and ready for painting which will be again something new for me as I've never done any painting on models before. i also decided to get a set of Friulmodel metal tracks for the kit to add that little bit extra and i just finished putting them together the other night and i will be using the MIG burnishing fluid on them as from what i have seen i like the results of it. overall the build has been fun and a whole new learning experience from what i use to do as a little kid but i have really enjoyed it. i will post all the pictures i have of the build in progress :)

You sure jumped in the deep end :thumb1: , but then again why not.
Hurry up with photos as we need to see.
I must admit, being a player of WOT I do sometimes think of building the whole of my Garage, including my beloeved Tog.

This is all the photo's i have at the moment, the next stage will be burnishing the metal tracks with MIG AMMO track burnishing fluid and painting the whole tank and weathering it. i plan on doing a light dusting on the bottom half of the tank all around and a little bit on the sides and front and try my hand at maybe some chipping on the turret. Enjoy guys! i know i have so far! :D

Nice work Wes. Really nice work.
I nearly bought one of these on WOT. May end up getting one yet.
Can't wait for more up-dates.

Hey,

Just bought this kit and since I'm also a WoT gamer I find the armour conversion kit very interesting indeed....

I have to check that out!
