Tamiya - U.S. 2 1/2-Ton 6x6 Cargo Truck

Post by bobbewieter »

Hi there,

Since I didn't finish my '6 military wheels or more sig' build I thought in putting the progress here...
Link to my sig topic: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 315&t=9600

I just started again 2 days ago (had a case of the lost mojo I guess) :eeek: :bash:

Here are some pictures:

I tried some chipping on the back with the weathering fluid from AK interactive. I'm not totally satisfied with the finished product but it as good as it going to get ;)

Since I don't have all the colours in the modelling world like some guys here *uhum Paul and Lee uhum* I had to make with a selfmade colour for the axle etc. I'm pretty happy with it...

And also managed to do some work on the diorama :th: I was thinking on what details I'm going to use and adapted some of them (drainpipe, window and light). Also primed everything and airbrushed the road.

I will keep posting some updates here :th:

Looks brilliant so far. I love the weathered wood on the truck bed. That's well done.

Nah... it looks like worn old wood. If it's a vehicle that's been in service for more than a few months it would get battered pretty badly. The wood would get weathered very quickly once the paint is scraped off. It looks good. :)

:th: nice job fella , if it was my wall , I would dirty it up a bit , bit too clean for damaged building. Maybe scuff the steps on the deuce & half at the same time. Well done mate
