It's been awhile since I've blogged anything and I'm building this as a memorial build on another site but I thought I would replicate it here as well.

My added extra.



One of the guys that we are doing the memorial build for, really loved Russian AFV's so I thought I would do this in the Russian scheme and do it with a ground attack layout (and I wanted to use the missle pods ) for him.



I will be using left over decals from when I built my Egyptian MIG. Seen below.

First up I worked on the missle pods.



I know it's a bit wonky but that will be fixed later.

Then I painted the resin cockpit and started to add the PE.

When I built the Egyptian MIG, I painted and masked the tail after it was all together, it was a real pain, so I painted the tail first and the fit is so good that I will be able to mask over it and fit the tail planes etc paint and then remove the masks after everything is painted.



Beginning on the wheel wells.



Fitted the wings etc. Not sure what made that stain on the wing.





There was a little gap along the wing roots. I used Mr Surfacer 500 dabbed on the gap and then taking a q-tip soaked in IPA, I smoothed it out and cleaned it up a bit and wah-lah no sanding required.

Camo done, nose ring to be added then gloss coat time.

Very nice models, curioius question, does the kit come with the bunny decals, or is that something your ment to airbrush?

Karim, do you mean the grass along the bottom of the plane, if so you can buy a Mask from Eduard that will allow you to paint it.

Chief, is it an Eduard MIG? If it is you will enjoy it when you get a chance, this is my second and I still have another in the stash.

Yep, got Eduards Mig-21 MF. Looks like a great kit.

Karim, Yes an interesting decision by Eduard to sell this kit and then charge extra for the "grass" mask, $$$$$$$$$ . I was never going to do the Bunny Kit scheme, as this was going to be my third Eduard MiG-21, I wanted the resin extra's and the T-shirt makes a good modelling shirt .

Chief, you will enjoy it when you get around to it mate.

Had a long weekend and spent most of it putting on decals . Currently waiting for the last coat of Future to dry.

Yes a very strange decision indeed, even though I have to say from an airbushing point of view it looks like it could be alot of fun masking and spraying for that grass effect

Well calling this done. After decals and protective coat all I did was an all over wash, not sure if I will ever get the hang of washes.

One major error that I noticed after putting on the front windshield, is the clear resin HUD thingy is to big to fit, it would need to be cut down to fit, meanwhile it's come loose and really messes up the front view.
