Tiger in the snow [Updated Pictures]

Post by RichBuilds »

Before I get to the reveal I'd just like to say thanks to Mike for the contribution he makes to the forum, the facebook page, the hangouts, youtube... He never seems to tire of answering questions, sharing resources and encouraging people to get the best out of their kits. A gentleman, and an honour and a priviledge to know you Sir :-)

Same goes for the rest of you reprobates. I learned so much in the few months I've been part of this community and hope I can pass on some tips n tricks I've picked up along the way.

Onto the reveal...

December 1943. A german infantry patrol scours the rubble of a ruined Russian hamlet for supplies while a lone Tiger keeps watch...

Thanks Hillbilly. First time I've tried to do snow (bicarbonate of soda, pva and white acrylic for the clumps, plaster of paris fixed with hairspray for the fresh snowfall).

Trying to resist the temptation to SNOW ALL THE THINGS! :-D

Humbled by the response folks :)

It's mainly due to the advice, help and encouragement offered by the member of ISM that I've somehow managed up my game and actually get something finished! :th:

Cracking job all round, love the snow effects....makes me feel cold! Although, that said, I'm sitting here braced and ready for a blizzard storm that is expecting to bring up to 3 feet of snow and is expected to be one of the worst if not the worst to hit New York in history! We're expecting power outages from it, too. :eeek:

Cheers, :cheers2:

Holy crap Rich! That freaking awesome dude! I love this piece.
The snow and ruins are excellent, and the detail on those figures is superb buddy.
The kitty herself is just plain dangerous looking as she should be.
Damned cold looking work!
