Hey hey howdy

[modelmakingguru]

Hi all

Thought it was about darn time I joined up on here. I don't get a lot of free time to flump about on the interwebs other than doing my own stuff, so thought this would be a good place to hand out. I was aware of ISM through Paul's eModels videos (which is also why I now film for eModels too, and have a pile of Ultimate stuff in my work area ^_^)

I've been modelling since I was a mere shaver of a lad, so probably thirty years or more.. Dropped out for a while, then started back up again a couple of years ago. As I have been working in social media and stuff at the time, I set up my site at the same time to add that side of the hobby to it, hopefully to pass on and inspire others to take it up. Early days yet.

Anyhoo, I've always had a thing for sci-fi, wet through a phase many years ago of building Trek ships, but now I am older (definitely) and wiser (allegedly) I realised that man, most of those are a pain in the ass and not very good. So now my absolute fave are the vehicles of Star Wars. However, I'm not fixed on that, I also build other stuff and military pieces too, notably WWII. Not a big fan of aircraft though.

My thing is battered, weathered, beat-up looking things. I hate making shiny things. By day I work detailing cars so my focus is making things shiny. By night it's the complete opposite - I mess things up with a vengeance. Guess that's why I like the "used universe" of Star Wars so much.

Anyhoo, that's enough waffle from me. I may not post a lot on here as time is limited, but I hope to make some new friends on here and see some AWESOME work from all of you. Here's a few showoff pics that I shall gratuitously add to the post for all the shameless self-promotion reasons

Welcome to ISM

I'm afraid I've changed your sig and taken your business details out of it as it's against forum rules
