So the hellcat was primed then given some colour modulation. Used the Mig ammo paints shown the effect will tone down with the weathering smile emoticon Not bad going considering i only started this late friday night

I'm not a big fan of modulation(most examples I see are over-done) But this looks great, just enough tonal variation without being over done...Well played!

Got the hellcats metal Friulmodel tracks treated with the new ultimate modelling products track burnishing fluid. I left the tracks in for an hour and this was the effect. There's a review in this months news show on using them and soon after a "how to" video on assembling the tracks and burnishing them.
Leaving the tracks in the fluid for longer or shorter times you can adjust how dark they go, the last 2 pictures below shows from left to right 7 mins, 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours.
Ps i know one side is on back to front

Wow... you're really plowing through this one :wtf:
The modulation looks great and the burnishing liquid seems to have turned out very nicely.
Looking forward for more progress!

Wildcat pin washed chipped and Matt coated ready for a filter. Tracks have had a few coats of wash and a sander run over them to show fresh metal.

Nearly finished now few more bits to do, rust streaks dust effects and the figures and a base (maybe). Today I got the tracks sorted and fitted and all the excellent black dog stowage.

Dio base was started

Image

A plaster of paris base was added and a pair of track grooves added, then primed in tamiya grey primer

Image

Then painted brown

Image

A mix of static grass colours were glued in place

Image

Then using some tamiya texture paint for mud and some different around coverings it was done
