Hobby boss 1:35 t-26

Post by gustavlekstal »

:welcome: this was my fourth build and first pe build. Its a shelf of doom and I have got around to getting it done. I bring you in when ive started with the paintwork. This is my first try at some cm work. Have to improve my airbrush skills and this model is good start since it was rather cheap. Critique about cm paintwork helps me to rethink and improve, so please do!!! About the pe work... Gonna try again when my fingers has healed.

I don't think I can provide any constructive criticism that would be helpful as I'm fairly new and I've never done a tank. I do like the tonal variation you have done on the paintwork, it makes it more interesting. Please let us know how you get on with this.

I may pick up this kit tomorrow, is it good? Your model looks superb that makes me even more curious about the kit.

Thanks hamikar. This was my first hobby boss. It's ok detail value for money. It's an expensive hobby boss kit. The suspension and bogies are great! The rest are not a lot of flash, includes pe and good instructions. The decals looks ok and thin but I used stencils. The tracks looks like modelkasten with assemble jigg. but I got fruili. That was a hard fit. What I didn't like was the voyager pe frets compare to the griffon pe I did for my panther. Griffon made pe frets and instructions more sensible. I'm getting the newer t-28 this month with pe. So I'm happy with hobby boss.

Thank you :cheers2: . I actually took a lot from your comments on my others builds and this is toned down mud for me :D Worked with more of lifting diffrent details and the colors more chromatically using oilpaint.

Thanks mate! I've done a dozen builds now and 9 finished. This one sat on the shelf of doom  so I've got a few more under my belt. I really enjoy what cm does for the tanks. A lot of room for improvement but we all have to start somewhere!

We certainly do all start somewhere and what a start !
I'm a fan of CM too, Armour can look pretty bland without it and it sets the "Character" of the piece nice and early on .
it really helps with what direction the weathering will go etc...
keep up the great work mate.
