Airfix Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero 1:72

Post by pauld »

Bought the kit
Got the pilots seat off and drilled holes in it

And that's all I have done.

Need to order some paints next week I think.

Would it be possible for you to post your pictures here on your build thread? The added content would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

The Zero had a sandpapering accident
There's a new one (two actually) coming in the post next week.

So I went out and got a couple of cheap Japanese WW2 aircraft kits, for practise purposes.. From looking around sources are saying that WW2 Pacific Theater aircraft were subjected to heavy weathering..

Now I don't care if its a bit extreme, but I had loads of fun doing this..

Sooo the original build here was the Airfix Zero.

What we have now is a little cockpit, a little engine and its interior...

the little zero hit something of a crisis. something dripped on it meaning i had to do some stripping on one side
now i know this is a cock up, you know its a cock up.. still having loads of fun with it :)
one wing currently masked off to put on that yellow stripe.
