Hi everyone

As my username gives away, my name is Peter. I came across this site looking for paint colours for the Airfix MkI Spitfire and thought I'd sign myself up.

I am a British ex-pat living Stateside, and like many people I started making Airfix kits at the age of 9, which blossomed into a passion for Spitfires. One of these days I am going to build the real deal Mk26 Spitfire from Supermarine, however until that time I want to sate my aircraft needs with more models.

I also have an almost two year old daughter who is obsessed with airplanes, so my eventual goal is to be able to make her a mobile with a few Spits shooting down an Me109.

As I've already seen from the works in progress threads, I have a lot to learn from my days of slathering models with paint straight from the tin so expect to see me nosing around the in progress threads and reading through the instructional pages
