Hellcat II Royal Navy - Eduard 1/48

Post by ajcmac »

Sorry for any mistake because my English is not good  (help with the Google translator).

Right now I have two models on the workbench. A Bf 109 E-7 Eduard 1/48 that I am participating in a GB on another forum.

Image

The second, which will be my first model in this forum, a Hellcat Mk II also Eduard 1/48 and already started painting the model.

The paint scheme chosen.

Image

The interiors.

All glued and ready to start painting the model.

Ok, I have to share this brain fart moment :bash: , I saw Hellcat, but read wildcat and for a moment I was confused as to why I keep seeing the Hellcat and not the wildcat when I was sure you said wildcat and not Hellcat..... I need coffee... :wall:

On topic though, that 109 looks amazing and if that is anything to go by I can't wait to see the Hellcat finished.

Antonio is a very talented modeller!!
Due to common language (he is from Portugal, I´m from Brazil, so we both speak portuguese) I know his work from portuguese/brazilian foruns, and I bet this Hellcat built will amuse all of you!

Go ahead, my friend!

Thank you all.

m0rce

I did not use the Smoke.

For each color that I apply in the model make two mixtures. Mix white to base color and apply the lights. Mix black to base color and apply the shadows. The two mixtures with 80% thinner.

XF-21 Tamiya.

H-305 Gunze.

Image

H-52 Gunze.

And the model already painted.

Fantastic, I'll defo be using this shading technique on my next aircraft.

What Matt finish do you use, and how many layers if you don't mind sharing.

No Future, I can not get more, I started to use varnishes of Alclad and now not change. I like them very much.

Aqua Gloss ref. ALC 600 and Flat Klear ref. ALC 314. Apply only one layer.
