Craftycarpers AV-8 Harrier Egg

Post by craftycarper »

Hi all, thought i'd join in on this for a bit of fun. My modelling skills are very basic (the same as my photography skills)......it will turn out how it turns out, and i've no idea what colour it will be, but it won't be the colours it's supposed to be as i don't have them and with an expensive carp fishing hobby, along with an expensive scootering hobby and also quite a taste for Stella Artois the purse holder won't allow such frivolities as "correct paint"

So at the end of the day, it's mine and i'll do it how i want :th:

And while looking at the instructions.....i noticed this that really made me chuckle......

Now just a little left to do and then decide what colour to paint it............
the call out asks for silver, i've got metallic aluminium
burnt iron, i've got dark iron
tire black will be flat black
dark seagrey, light aircraft grey, and 2 other greys will be a mixture of matt grey and light grey
dark green......i've got a dark green :D
green.....i've got a dark green!!!....and an olive green and a cockpit green so can make a green

I've even got a blue, sky, white, dark earth and trainer yellow, so depending on the stella intake one night it could end up quite colourful :cheers2:

BUT I'M HAVING FUN!! :thumb2:

Chucked some paint on this today, as you can see, my brush skills are just as good as my modelling/photography skills :th:

But it's still mine, and i'm still having fun :cheers2:

Well, i've had a go, half the F*****g decals are missing after disasters using set and sol (first time user  ), the canopy was a poor fit, and after me trying to alter it to make it fit...........it didn't fit even more. I've had fun building it and trying new (to me) things.
