Airfix 1/72 Bomber Resuply Set

Post by sheppy »

Hi all this is the start of a slow build which will end with a full diorama of a Lancaster Bomber sat at a dispersal point being resupplied.

great box art depicting something similar to what I want to do.

All sprues are in 1 bag come on Airfix if others can split them why cant you.

Each sprue appears to contain all parts or vast majority for 1 vehicle.
So lets start with the smallest of them the Tractor.

As you can see a little filler was needed as there are some slight fit issues.

And there is the finished Tractor prior to decals and weathering. I am going to leave weathering the vehicles until they are all complete so as the weathering looks very similar across all vehicles.

Nice. A question: why would you weather all the vehicles in a similar manner? Weathering would be dependant on how long each was in service and how it was used. When not being used, was it stored inside or out?
