Another new tool and a quick build to fill time before the eye spy sig

Shouldn't take too long to build lol, this is the progress i made in tonights hangout.

Paint effects done, panel fading bleaching and post shading all done, testing out my new photo booth





The colours used, base colours on the bottom row, those used to lighten and darken shown above, plus all the cups used for the different colour mixes









With the Airfix defiant ready for its panel line wash i thought it a great time to show you all the new and improved Ultimate Modelling Products Dark Dirt Wash, still clay based as with all the others, but this newer version is a lot darker and has much better coverage. It'll be hitting the shops in a couple of weeks.
Applied over a gloss coat, you can see how well it covers when applied with a flat brush and in the following pictures (click them theres a few) you can see how it looks, wet, dry and how easy it comes off with just a piece of moist kitchen paper and some cotton buds. It can also be airbrushed on as to can all the others. Theres is no simpler more effective way to quickly weather
The last pictures show it after a matt cote has been sprayed on to seal it in, you can see underneath were i purposely didn't gloss it as much as the upper surfaces allowing the wash to cling on a lot more giving a nice weathered look to the under surface.
