Revell 1/24 Ferrari-Enzo

Hello!
I finally found some time to work on a model. More or less because it's 24hLeMans time, and i'm stucked behind computer and need to do something while i'm watching
So far i have managed to clean most of small parts and glued together all major components. There is still many small parts that need to be cleaned (still on spruces), actually all of them, so far i didn't found any piece that didn't need sanding
Now I have to slowly decide for the right tactic where to use putty. Especially on engine cover which does not sit properly. i'm not sure should i assemble body and engine cover and then try to smooth them as one piece, or work on both pieces separately

I have never built a kit in its entirety unpainted for a dry fit...not a bad idea, especially with Revell
Keep showing us what you are up to with this, there is a small segment of car lovers on here

I decided to dry fit as much as i can, because this is my first kit after probably 20 years and i read around the internet that it's quite a lot of issues with this kit. Mostly they complained that the front of the car is too high, for this i have already found a solution. If i ignore instructions and i don't put front piece that hold tires on floor and i put this piece on a piece (sorry i don't know the words for those parts ) that hold seats i immediately get almost 2mm. I think it will be OK, because mainly they suggest cuting or bending, and i don't feel comfortable doing this yet.

You've got some work ahead of you, have to say the Tamiya Enzo is quite a bit easier to build. But I think you'll pull it off. Are you as crazy as I am and will try to get it finished by the end of the race?

Well i hope that i will have everything ready for primer. i don't have any paint yet, except primer, so it's actually impossible. But i have a lot to do, i need to learn how to use putty, i will use it for the first time in life

Hm, i got a problem. Rear window is not wide enough. I'm not sure how to fix that
Should I use putty to fill gap, and then just smooth everything until it fits? I can fill the gap on both sides so that wouldn't be too thick.
I have a Tamiya putty (white).

I fill all holes on body and other parts. I also fill the gap between window and engine cover, but it seems to me that this wasn't the best idea. It's become quite a mess.

You could also put flat styrene plastic strips to fill in the void....would be easier clean up
I have even seen someone use brass to make a window gutter........maybe not for a Ferrari

Thanks for the advice
I've been thinking to order Tamiya Epoxy Putty (Smooth Surface),but I'm not sure if it will work, especially now when i already use normal putty. I'll will see what they have in store where I will order colors. I like the idea of using styrene strips, my only concern is the shape of engine cover.
