Stug IV 1/35 from Tamiya

Post by Baardmans »

This is my latest build, number 7 since my return to the hobby.
Still not happy with the weathering though.
The side-skirts are thick aluminum foil from throw away serving trays.
The first time building something with side-skirts, just trying new techniques.
Also using the new camera en photobucket. Practice for the SIG I want to enter.
Without flash looks better but I could not find the of switch, note to self R.T.F.M.
And now for the photo's.

This is a good "No. 7" kit of yours. Nicely built and weathering is realistic.

All kinds of really cool effects done right with this piece bud.
Excellent modification with the shurzen.
Is that concrete armour part of the kit or did you make that?
It looks awesome?

Very nice build, i think i had the same one, dated 1975 in the hull! If tis the same one mike then the concrete armour is in the kit.
John, whats on my bench? Usually a mess and a couple of different models a week.
My motto? I'm not lazy, just energy efficient.

Thank you Coen!
The concrete came with the kit, it's just the paint job that worked.
There is supposed to be concrete armor on the other side to, instead of the armor plate.
But the instructions weren't clear and I already glued the part on and did not want to risk prying it lose.
Research showed Stug's with only that part with concrete so I let it be.
