32 Ford Salt Flats racer

Post by JonMW »

Finished this one about a week ago, did it as a really simple build just to see if the Ultimate Winter wash could be used for salt deposits on a Bonneville car. Started with a Revell 32 Ford Roadster, used the trunk lid from the Revell 5W coupe, a flathead ford engine, I-beam front axle and halibrand rear axle and other parts from the scraps drawer. I applied several thick coats of the winter wash to the tread of the tires and the wheel wells, then removed some of it and feathered the edges. Then I finished it by adding splatter of the winter wash. I think it worked pretty good, spending a little more time at it and using some white pigment to get a better 3D effect this could be a good use for the winter wash.
