Revell Sd.Kfz 7/1 1/72 Scale

Post by plasticcemented »

Hey guys,

This is my first 1/72 build, the Sd.Kfz 7/1 from Revell.

Nice looking box, I do like Revell's box art.

All the sprues. Sorry for the horrible picture.

Close up of the sprues and the detail, I'm really happy with all the detail OOB. Especially at this scale.

And the decals, they are so tiny! I'm envisioning some problems with them when ready to apply.

So, I made a start on this last night. Just took my time and enjoyed the experience. Like I said previously the detail is fantastic with minimal clean up, only thing right now I wish I had were some kind of soft clamps to keep small pieces together while glueing. As the parts can be so small I've been applying as little glue as possible to avoid seepage and spoiling of detail.

This is where I am at just now.

And a close up.

Thanks for viewing folks! Take it easy.

Cool looking kit buddy....
For clamps.... Maybe try some wooden clothes pegs or some soft grip plastic type. I have a couple clipped around my tool box for just this thing.
Also taped to skewers they make excellent painting aids...
all the best bud...
Keep sharing the pictures.. :thumb1:
