AMX-30B2

Post by arkbuilder2012 »

This is the Meng AMX-30B2. Finished construction a while back and has been given a coat of primer. Think in this configuration I'm stuck doing it in the desert scheme. Almost OOB, I did add power cables to the search light. I will be using Friul tracks.

Awesome kit!!! I think you can do a NATO version if you leave off a number of parts to include the side skirts. I'm not all that well versed about modern French armor but I have not seen any pics of this in NATO colors as configured.

A little bit more work on my AMX. I added the running gear and tracks (Friul) and painted the overall base color. Need to add the flat horizontal plates and exhaust shrouds after I do the disruptive pattern and detail painting. This tank also has the side skirt armor which goes on last.

Looking good, which paint and colour did you use for the base coat?

I do like the look of the AMX-30. I built the Meng AUF-1, the SPG which shares the same lower hull.
