1/48 Trumpeter T-38C Talon II

Post by modelingaddict82 »

This is the first time in the forum and first time doing a GB of any kind. I am entering the T-38 Talon which is the USAF trainer jet for upcoming pilots. I know I have till the end of the month to complete this build but I think I can do it :D if not then it will be an interesting build either way. I am going to have to scratch build the rudder pedals though because the kit supplied ones are wrong.

 Got the cockpit assembly primed and painted the basebcoat. Love the badger primer, it goes down smooth and beautifully.

The cockpit itself has good detail considering and have thought about painting the panels by hand. Given the time left in the build I may use just the decals provided but we will see :) the FAQ2 book may come out so I can reference it for the painting.

Got the center piece painted with tamiya flat back thinned ever so slightly with Ultimate thinner.Image

Next plans are to detail paint the seats and scratch build the rudder pedals. With the VJ 48hr build this weekend I may do just the seats then the rest next week.
