Hi from Lincolnshire & Re-Starting

As the title says I am re-starting model making, hopefully not too late in life. I have had an interest in model making off and on for many years. The choice of model was never fixed but my time serving as a mechanic in the British Army did make me lean towards military vehicles. My other modelling interest is model engineering as the mood takes me. The engineering projects take so long I find other model making a pleasant relief being able to see the end results faster.
My son left me his equipment and unfinished projects when he moved out. My Iwata Revolution, rather bunged up, was amongst the equipment. New to me are acrylic paints washes and so much more information on the internet via forums and youtube. The tutorials from International Scale Modeller gave me the inspiration to have another try at model making.
I have taken the plunge with the old Tamiya model of the Stug 4. It was cheap and in stock in town. My next big spend should be a small compressor. The one in the workshop is rather over sized for airbrushing and makes the windows rattle
