Asu,a/Tasca Sherman Firefly - Reveal

[alextheblue]

Well, I've finally finished this one. Started it a while ago and then stuttered with it a bit, but after seeing a couple of Nige99's amazing Sherman builds, I was inspired to finish this one. I won't bore you with my inane wittering, but if you're interested to know what I thought about the kit you can take a look at my WIP thread here http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=10293

Without further ado, straight onto the pics.......

Fairly recently I knocked one of the following up and I've got an idea for a dio. Not very original I know, but these two vehicles just go together so well. And did I mention, Nige99's build threads have really inspired me!

Thanks for taking a look!

Nice build and paintjob.

Particularly like the weathering.

Well done.

Cool rusting effect. What paint or wash did you use?

Thanks Gerry, really appreciate that!

Thanks jomark! The general dirt and mud is a light oil rendering with burnt umber and the rust is done with AK rust streaks, although Ultimate's rust wash is very good for this as well.
