1/35 Trumpeter KV Flamethrower

Post by gerry7944 »

This is the 1/35 Trumpeter KV Flamethrower Tank.

I have used AK interactive Russian modulation set, Tamiya, and Vallejo paints along with Mig pigments for weathering.

Cheers

Gerry

Thanks for that.

Much appreciated.

Good question. I think there must have been an internal resevoire for the flamable liquid?, or it came from the fuel tanks at the rear of the tank? I am not quite sure.

Your KV looks very good! I especially like the chipping, how did you do it?
But which type of tracks did you use? They could have more sag.
I believe the liquid was stored internally, at least the earlier soviet chemical tanks had such a system. But I have yet to find an internal diagram of a KV-8

I use the sponge technique for my chipping which I find gives me more control than the hairspray method which is fine but can go badly wrong. At least with the sponge you can wipe away any mistakes and start again.

I agree about the tracks but unfortunately budget dictates I use the rubber ones from the kit.

I can improve the sag by placing rolled up kitchen roll between the underside and the tracks and supergluing the track into the position created and when dry remove the kitchen roll.

I tried to research the storage of the flamable liquid but there is nothing available on the internet that I could find. :wall:
