Eduard 1/48 MiG-21R Final Reveal

Post by Ads24 »

My MiG-21R is complete and I'm relatively happy with it. I think it looks good in the base, and I'm glad I learnt a lot about doing freehand camo which can be found in the build thread here: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 04&t=13500

I was going for a beat-up and worn-down aircraft, but I probably did go a little overboard on the chipping!

I've taken part in a few SIGs on ISM now, and really enjoy then. It's great to build on a theme, and maybe do something you wouldn't otherwise build. I also learn so much from other build threads - I don't always comment, but I do follow them, and the quality of work is amazing :th: Anyway, enough rambling, here are the final photos...

Thanks for your kind comments, guys. This really was a great kit, and I wouldn't mind building another one, especially with all the cool markings Eduard have for the MiG-21. Another kit I felt like this about was the Hobby Boss 1/48 Me 262 - a wonderful kit to build for only about £15.
