Trumpeter SCUD B TEL

Post by arkbuilder2012 »

Something I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. Very nice kit. Lots of parts (1300+), great details and pretty good fit. I am going back to retro-fit brake lines, lots of hydraulic plumbing in the bay where the launcher is located and all of the cables and tubing on the back end.

That is one big build
It looks very detailed so far but i don't know how much of it will be seen later and what the kit features are like moveable parts for the launcher and maybe a drivers cab that can tilt forward to show the engine
Keep up the good work mate and please don't stop showing us the progres

I have this kit in the stash as well. I am really tempted to start it, but I am also kind of scared of it haha. Will look forward to seeing you add the extra details to yours.

Was wondering if anyone has used Alumilite to cast small parts - good or bad results?

The one area Trumpeter punted on was the mass of cabling at the rear and the various fittings. They did however provide one valve fitting which is in a stowed position - this is what I want/need to cast

These are the kit parts with the fitting below

It's going to be a big one. It would be interesting to see it share a shelf with a 1/35 Leopold gun, to see the evolution of long range artillery.

This area on the real vehicle is a maze of piping, cables and hoses. Will take a while to get it looking right
